Why fifteen days? Bbecause if you are anything like myself you will edit and tweek the pages a hundred times. Can you produce an eBook quicker than 15 days? Yes, but it really depends on your knowledge of the niche. Being a profectionist therefore can help you to take your time so you can turn out your very best work the first time.
It is important to be a profectionist but here we go. By now you have picked out your niche and the top five keyword phrases which are search for when searching for that particular niche. Now we have to see if it is going to be a profitable niche to market.
If we CAN prove it will make money then we will move on if we prove it is a dud then we will have to find a new niche. You have to keep an open mind at this point. There are never any guarantees the product you create will ever make you money but if you stick to this plan and follow these steps you have a 99% chance that the niche you ulitmatly pick will be a valuable market. What you do with it is in your hands.
It is time now to make a few folder an place them on your desktop. You need to keep track of the information you collect so you can recall it quickly when needed. Name your folders for example: Sewing Product. Remember we used sewing s an example in part 3.
Does it have any potential to make money? Well, lets find out if any of the people searching for those five keyword phrases are buying products as well. It has been my experience in order to do this I simply go to http://www.google.com and type in my first keyword choice. Use the one with the most searches first, for example sewing. Yes, there are several ways to do this but this is the way that I search and recommend because it’s easy and effective.
Now that you have keyed in your first phrase you are going to notice the number of search results of this query. At the time of writing this article “sewing” has 187,000,000 results. WOW that is a lot! This indicates to me that there is a big market for sewing products. But hold on, you are not done yet. Now we have to find out how many Ad words ads are being use for this phrase.
Ok, I see a lot of sponsor ads on the right, five to be exact. When I see a lot of ads here I know that people are bidding to have their ads seen. For now, when I see one to three ads I want you to drop that phrase topic because I know that no one is buying in that particular niche. You can tell al lot about a product when you pay attention to your competitors. Generally speaking, the more ads, the more profitable. By all means drop the topic if there is few to none because no one is buying in that market.
Special Note- Notice I said for now. That is right in the future I am going to show you another reason for looking at this in an opposite manner. But for now not to confuse you just drop the niche idea.
So what you are going to do at this point is make note on a piece of paper or in excel make 4 columns and label them as follows -
1. Search phrase
2. SR or search results
3. How many Google ad words to the left
4. Make a note of what the ad words are selling. Why? You want to know what the customers are buying from these ads and it can help you when you are creating your eBook.
In the example sewing ”
Sewing Kits
Learn the basic of sewing
Classed for sewing
Fabrics by the yard
Learn to sew articles
Keep in mind this may not be the best niche but it will give you the general idea.
After you have gathered this information you need to know much these ad keywords are going to cost and to do this we are going to use http://www.spyfu.com/. Spyfu is free and is also offered at a pro level for a small fee. Once at the Spyfu site type in the search bar your keyword phrase and Spyfu will give you important information.
Cost/Click, How much this keyword cost per click.
Clicks/Day, How many clicks this keyword gets per day.
Cost/Day, What you can expect to spend if you were to get this amount of clicks per day.
Advertisers, this is how many advertisers are advertising for this keyword.
Search Results, This is the number of pages Google has for this keyword.
Search Volume, This is the number of searches Google has for this keyword each day.
Again using the example “sewing” you can see
Cost/Click: $0.44 - $1.18
The higher could mean the better, because if they are paying this kind of money they are getting sales.
Clicks/Day: 2.39k - 3.03k
The higher could mean the better, because if they are getting the clicks
Advertisers: 9
I like to see this number as low as possible and 9 is ok. Below 9 is better. But don’t get too hung up on this. Because it might just mean you can promote your product in other ways.
Cost/Day: $1.06k - $3. 59k
The higher could mean the better, because if the advertiser is paying this then the keyword is very profitable.
Search Volume 4,500
The higher is always the better because you want there to be plenty of people searching all thief time.
You are going to do this with each of your keyword phrases and write down the results.
When you have finished with the main subject you are going to look at the products being sold in the top five ads. Take those keywords and go through this same process with all five. This is going to give you the sub-topics for you niche, or it can be used to narrow down your niche. For example ” sewing projects” or “sewing crafts”
The niche you are looking for solves a problem or it is a solution to something. If you are thinking of writing eBooks make sure you read this complete series.
